Whoa, now, hold on here . . . .Afghan Forces Missing From Helmand Offensive - NYTimes.com Did someone miss something here? How could US + NATO commanders have been counting on "success" in Afghanistan if they couldn't be sure there'd be enough Afghan boots on the ground? And how are they supposed to materialize now?
Is this when commanders appeal to the president for more troops? Another Maxwell Taylor/William Westmoreland/Lyndon Johnson moment in the works?
